The Right Organization Product
The number of products geared towards organization and storage has skyrocketed in the last few years. Everywhere you turn something new pops up. Everyone wants to know what the ‘best’ product to get organized is and that is both an easy and tough question to answer.
The answer is ‘it depends’. It depends on you, your space, your family and style. You want something that meets both form and function.
With that said I do have some absolute favorites that I use all the time.

Multi-Purpose Bins (Various Sizes)
These bins are so versatile! They are great in the pantry, under the sinks, in the office or the bathroom. They are perfect for kitchen cabinets that don’t have pull out drawers. I also love them for organizing food storage lids.
They are so easy to incorporate and the different sizes are fantastic. Just label them and you’re good to go!
TCS Our Shoe Box
I love these shoe boxes so much. I told a client recently that I can’t remember if I have used these for shoes – ever! They are fantastic storage options for everything else. They are inexpensive and they stack well too. Clear bins are always a preference for me because being able to see what you have at a quick glance is so helpful. These boxes are great for toiletries (they are in my own bathroom), toys, pantries, tools and more.
They also come in varying sizes: smaller accessory boxes, men’s shoe, tall shoe and The Container Store expanded the “Our” line to include sweater and deep sweater boxes. Check them out for yourself.
Over the Door Shoe Hanger
I’m sure you can sense a theme! I love a product that is versatile and used in so many different spaces. This over the door shoe bag is not just for shoes. This is the perfect time of year to set this up in an entryway closet. It holds gloves, scarves, hand warmers and hats so you can grab them on your way out the door. Toys fit great in them as well. You can separate each row by members of your family with the taller members getting the rows at the top.
Drawer Dividers
Drawer dividers are a fantastic way to categorize and keep like with like. In a kitchen with so many different utensils and parts they keep drawers from getting jammed and jumbled. Larger dividers can also help separate clothes and other items outside the kitchen. The expandable dividers fit almost every drawer. These are a must.
Canvas Bins
Canvas bins are so fun to use. The best part is that they have a label holder on 2 sides of the bins! So if you want to store them in different ways you can label them. These bins are great for closet shelves and file folding clothes. They are also a great fit for books making it easy for kids to flip through and find their favorites. They work well in garages and pantries as well.
Plastic Bins
I saved one of my favorites for last. I love love love these plastic bins. I have these all over my house from my entryway, kitchen, bathroom, closets and more. I love how simple and versatile they are. They are easy to label and also easy to clean. The best part is now they come in clear and other colors! How fun is that?! You can color coordinate however you like or go with the clean white look.
Final Thoughts
This is certainly not an exhaustive list of my favorite products, but it’s a good start and may inspire you to purge and organize your own space.
Remember, you don’t always have to purchase items in advance! It is okay to do the work and determine what you want to keep and how to store it. Then purchase the products that help you maintain order.
